Policies

School policies cover every aspect of school life. Below are some of our most important policies for your reference. If you want to know our policy on something that is not listed, please ask the school office.

Policies address the practical implications of how to achieve the school's vision as expressed in it's strategic plan and are a key means of ensuring that agreed values underpin day-to-day decisions and actions in school.

They are concerned with key processes within the school and are about interactions between the school, pupils, parents and the community.  They are about ensuring highly effective teaching and learning, about safety and basic human rights.  All policies are intended to guide the work of the headteacher and the staff and to provide a framework for the smooth functioning of the school based on a shared understanding of the school's strategic plan and vision.

Each policy is reviewed regularly either annually or on a 3-year cycle.

All staff, governors and parents must have easy access to school policies so a  free paper copy is available in the School Office.

Additionally, the Statutory policies are available in the policy library for your information.
